As the agency delves into the investigation of 'The Great Split'—which led to the formation of GCAM and the subsequent rise of the jVn group led by Jayla, Nadelie, and Vera—SSA has significant goals to elevate GCAM for geopolitical leverage. The school community will witness this unfolding as the agency takes control of the new news agency, GNN.
GCAM holds the advantage of accessing information that SSA cannot, enabling the analysis and creation of effective policies to enhance school safety. While SSA manages political and espionage matters, GCAM will focus on student social policies. Our ongoing Project 2025 2024, ‘Operation Friendship,’ aimed at organizing a mall summit, can continue. With SSA facilitating events like winter dances, proms, and FUNraisers while ensuring national security at major events, GCAM might agree to her allies' requests.
As GNN’s leader, I quickly draft scripts and send them to the GNN hosts, who are members of GCAM. For news coverage, I travel with the basketball team to build connections with 9th and 10th graders and capture footage for GNN. Unfortunately, we suffered a significant loss in our first game (121-24) and again in today’s game (93-30), making the scripting process a bit more challenging.

In the studio, Geneva and Clarissa join me. I set up my camera and wait for the rest of the crew. Finally, we’re ready to film the GNN video.

“Good morning, GCA!! Today is November 24th, and it’s a beautiful day with a 70% chance of rain!! In tech news, the Apple iPhone 15 is out for pre-order…” "CUT!!" After editing out the bloopers, the next task is teaching the team how to pronounce Xiaomi.
“OK, I’ll write it as ‘Show me’ on the script. That’s how you pronounce Xiaomi. OK, Geneva, are (Mi) Ui ready?”
“What?”
“Xiaomi joke. Anyway, 3, 2, 1, ACTION!!”
“This phone is comparable to the showimi? I give a thumbs up to keep going, ‘phones in price and screen resolution, though the Chinese brand has a QHD screen.’”
“Cut!!”
Now it’s time for the sports segment. We need to interview players about their 63-point loss. The news segment creates an opportunity for students to be featured, which can boost the popularity of allies like GCAM, pro-SSA factions like Aiden and Jayla, and reduce domestic threats in the school.
“OK, Secretary of State, Ava, you’re up!! I see you’re listed in my phone as that.”
“LOL.”
I direct the camera towards the corner of the studio while Ava looks at the laptop-converted teleprompter. “Can I do this section with Maria? Amala can handle sports, and Clarissa can do quiz time.”
“Sure!”
I show the carefully scripted interview questions to Amala and Aiden for practice.
"3, 2, 1, ACTION!!"
“In sports news, our Glory Hawks played a great game against Providential Christian. The player of the game is Aiden, who scored 6 points!! Aiden, what’s your key to success?”
“Well, I practice hard, and the team does a great job of teamwork.”
“OK, thank you, Aiden. Back to you, Geneva!!”
“Cut!!" Clarissa is next. Never mind, we’ll fix that in post!! Clarissa, you’re up next!!”
“Quiz time!! What year was the iPhone X made: a) 2007, b) 2015, or c) 2019?”
“CUT!! The correct answer for a is 2017, not 2007.”
“Oh.”
After reshooting, it’s time for the outro.
“OK, line up here in GCAM order: Geneva, then Clarissa, Amala, Ava, and so on. Each of you say your names, then together say, ‘That’s all for now. God bless and go Hawks.’ OK, action!!!”
“I’m Geneva, I’m Clarissa, I’m, uh.”
“Cut!!”
After reshooting, the clips are ready for editing. I head downstairs with 30% battery remaining to choose music, transitions, and animate the ticker in Alight Motion. Then I either find graphics or have Copilot generate them. Tuesday will be showtime!!
As I watch the footage on the theater screen, I realize that uniting under GCAM will be more challenging than I anticipated. FoR God, For Glory, For GCAM!! SSALTW!!
