I walked into school, plan locked and loaded, feeling the familiar thrill of a strategy about to unfold. The first objective was locating Hazel's sister, though she wasn't immediately visible. Time was ticking – only about a month left – so I knew it was time to decisively push things forward.
As the final bell drew near, the window I needed appeared: a solid thirty minutes to engage GCAM. Despite earlier efforts to restrict my access downstairs, SSA's strategic groundwork – the deals, the contracts – had secured the vital access I required. The path to the downstairs table, the central hub, was clear.
"Hi Geneva," I began, projecting casual confidence.
"WHats up Ethan."
"Nothing much," I replied smoothly. "Ready for the news video tomorrow?"
"Ab So Lutely!!" Her energy was high.
"Arent you going to say hi?" she prompted.
"Right. Hi Summer, Hi Clarissa." Then, turning to Maria, I executed the planned move: "So Maria, have you ever been to Babling Brook mall?" I knew the answer, but the question was the key.
"Oh yeahh, I went clothes shopping there and…"
"Yeah!" I confirmed, reinforcing the connection. "I think I saw that picture where you were standing in front of Kendra Scott."
"Oh yeah!!" Recognition sparked.
"Looked like fun. Summer, have you ever been?"
"Yeah I've been sometimes."
"We should definitely go sometime," Geneva declared, right on script. Clarissa jumped in enthusiastically, "Yeah, that would be fun, and we could invite anyone from school."
Inside, a surge of triumph – exactly as calculated. My carefully seeded suggestion had taken root and blossomed. The plan was firmly on track. Phase two was clear: secure the right male ally for the excursion, strategically selecting someone other than Maverick for smoother approval dynamics. I consciously suppressed the urge to ask about outfits, keenly aware of the delicate political situation with CSM.
"And then," Geneva added, completely unaware of the strategic currents swirling, "you can come to my house for prom."
I responded with calculated laughter, dismissing the prom idea to keep focus on the real prize. "hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, no way that gets approved, hhahahahahah, very funny! See you then." Mission accomplished for this stage, I made a swift, confident exit from the table, lining up Denver as the next contact.
A definitive victory. SSA's calculated maneuvers – using the prom talk as cover while ensuring the mall trip was the focus and open to all – had undeniably paved the way for this win. Knowing JVn was a potential complication, I logged Maverick and swiftly secured Denver's agreement. That flank was secure. Time for the confirming text.
Simultaneously, I reactivated channels with my old Liberty Prep network. Attempts to reach David remained frustratingly blocked, but I connected with other key figures from that era. The loss of that school still stung, and reigniting those connections, especially reclaiming my best friend, remained a background objective. Back at home base, I presented the mall trip plan, and – precisely because of the inclusive strategy – approval was granted. The plan was sound.
The following week was bathed in the glow of success. The primary objective felt secure; a precedent had been decisively set, a blueprint for future operations.
Then, the inevitable wrinkle: two days out, Geneva called me over. I'd anticipated potential turbulence. "Ethan, something came up. We will have to do it another week." A momentary assessment: a complication, but manageable. The core team – Denver, Maverick, Miles – was locked in. The objective remained attainable; the mission simply adapted. It would proceed.
Deployment Day: Babbling Brook Mall. Rendezvous with Denver complete. Stepping inside felt significant, almost like crossing into a live-action Adventures in Odyssey episode – a satisfying internal acknowledgment. This mall summit wasn't just a trip; it was the victory. The tangible culmination of five years navigating complex social landscapes from Liberty to Energizer to the present success with SSA. This was the holy grail I'd envisioned, a testament to long-term strategy. Echoing Emily Jones, it felt like a moment of genuine, hard-won accomplishment.
Even Denver's out-of-the-blue query about 'AI Jayla' pictures on my phone was merely a minor distraction, easily deflected with a an explanation about how they were for the news segment airing soon, about Jaylas new phone. The sense of achievement remained unshaken. I fired off the necessary comms to Maria. Then, standing before the Kendra Scott store, I felt a profound sense of arrival. This exact spot, the ground GCAM had occupied in that iconic photo... standing here now, having successfully maneuvered everyone to this point, felt deeply significant. It was a bastion of freedom and democracy, a hard-won symbol of our group's ability to operate and succeed on our own terms. This victory was ours.
Press Conference
The dawn of a new day has come to SSA! No longer are we the third-rate power competing with Nikka and David at Liberty Prep, Energizer's hyper-evangelical opposition, or GCA's solely militaristic power. A new age of potential and freedom is upon us, and we must seize this opportunity. SSA has proven that we can strike anywhere at anytime
Precedent-shattering opportunities and events are here, and we MUST seize this moment! No longer are we second-rate to GCAM or JVn. A better future for Maverick, and Miles is at hand, and SSA can and will lead the way—in church, in school, and yes, even at the mall! The dawn of a new day is here! One Nation, under God... and at the mall! We did it Denver! Mission accomplished!
